ABSTRACT:
The talk will focus on Apollon Solar's EVA and soldering free NICE module technology and recent R&D studies towards the industrialisation of this technology. The NICE module technology presents a more cost effective alternative to standard EVA laminated PV modules made from crystalline Silicon solar cells. The R&D studies underlying the industrialisation of the NICE technology concern the long term sealing quality and stability, module optics and electrical interconnection. The module part of the talk will include a simplified roof integration scheme for PV modules, called Solarclip. In addition, latest results on Apollon Solar's UMG Silicon activities in the frame of the French PHOTOSIL project will be briefly summarised.
