ABSTRACT:
Synthesis of tailored nanostructures by non-equilibrium synthesis methods such as spray flame reactors will be presented. The feasibility of fine tuning composition and size will be discussed with respect to current challenges in the engineering of nano-scale materials. Approaches to integrate such flame-made materials in portable components will be demonstrated and critically reviewed with respect to the final device performances
